A CSR is a small text block that tells the certificate authority your domain name and your public key. You create it on the server that will use the certificate. Here is how in cPanel.
Steps
- Log in to cPanel and open SSL/TLS under the Security section.
- Click Generate, view, or delete SSL certificate signing requests.
- Under Generate a New Certificate Signing Request, leave Key set to Generate a new 2,048 bit key.
- Fill the form:
- Domains:
yourdomain.pkfor a single domain. Type*.yourdomain.pkfor a wildcard. - City, State, Country: Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan (PK). Use your real city.
- Company: your registered name for OV and EV. For DV you can type your name or business name.
- Company Division: IT, or leave it.
- Email: your email. Passphrase and description can stay empty.
- Domains:
- Click Generate. Copy the whole block from
-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE REQUEST-----to-----END CERTIFICATE REQUEST-----.
What happens next
Paste the CSR into the SSL activation form in the client area after your order, or send it to us on WhatsApp. cPanel keeps the matching private key on the server, so you do not need to copy it anywhere. When the certificate arrives, install it from the same SSL/TLS page.

Check the CSR before you submit
Paste it into the CSR decoder. Confirm the domain is spelled correctly and the key is 2048 bits or more.
