SSL certificate price in Pakistan: what you really pay in 2026

Real PKR price ranges for every type of SSL, what makes one certificate cost more than another, and how to pay locally.

People search for "SSL price in Pakistan" and get dollar prices from foreign websites, then a bank charge on top. This guide gives you the real picture in rupees.

Price ranges in PKR (per year)

TypeTypical price per yearWho it is for
DV single domainRs 2,700 to Rs 16,000Blogs, small business sites, WordPress
DV wildcardRs 30,000 to Rs 62,000One domain with many subdomains
OV (business validated)Rs 12,000 to Rs 140,000Registered companies, online stores
EV (extended validation)Rs 25,000 to Rs 370,000Banks, fintech, large e-commerce
Multi-domain (SAN)Rs 5,500 to Rs 75,000Several different domains on one certificate

These are SSLWalay prices at the time of writing. Every product page shows the live price for 1, 2 and 3 years.

What makes an SSL cost more?

  1. Validation level. DV only checks the domain and is automated, so it is cheap. OV and EV need a human at the certificate authority to verify your company papers, so they cost more.
  2. Coverage. One domain is the cheapest. Wildcard covers unlimited subdomains. Multi-domain covers several different names. More coverage, higher price.
  3. Brand. Sectigo and RapidSSL are budget friendly. DigiCert, GeoTrust and Thawte are premium brands with higher warranties and dynamic site seals.
  4. Warranty. A Rs 2,700 certificate carries a $10,000 to $50,000 warranty. Enterprise certificates carry $1.5 to $2 million.
  5. Term. Two and three year plans cost less per year than renewing every year.

Hidden costs to watch for

  • Dollar conversion. Foreign sellers bill in USD. Your bank adds 2 to 4 percent plus the day's rate. SSLWalay bills in PKR so the price you see is the price you pay.
  • Installation. Some hosts charge for installing a third party certificate. HostingWalay installs SSLWalay certificates free.
  • Dedicated IP. Not needed anymore. Modern servers use SNI so one IP can carry many certificates.
